Taylor Swift, the rarest pop star, is one who managed to move from the country genre to mainstream pop culture, becoming an iconic figure in the pop culture. Swift also took on all over the world through her music. Swift removed the influences of country in the sense that they had been added as an extra layer of skin and revealed she was one of the most talented singers/songwriters in her generation. Swift could make the event personal and use it for her benefit. Swift's early tracks including the neotribute for Tim McGraw were a testament to her talent. However, her second album Fearless from 2008 showed the songwriter finding her voice as well as a broader public. Fearless wound up having considerable legs not only on the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles due to the Top Ten hits Love Story and You Belong with Me but throughout the world, with a particular success with the U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift could build on her popularity by releasing Speak Now almost two year later. With the three albums following the three albums that followed -- Red 2012 1989 2014, and Reputation 2017 -- Swift's success only grew. That was an obvious sign she had moved to an entirely new world of pop which she was able to fit into. In the end, when she refocused her music with the stripped-down releases of 2020, Folklore, and Evermore, she still remained at the top. It was a position that was confirmed with the re-recordings she had made from her earlier catalogue as in Midnights the synth-based chart-topper 2022 album.
